There's been some discussion here at Colt forum that if the (cylinder) Latch is blued it indicates a re-blue.
Not so fast.
Here's why:
I just acquired a Cobra, nothing special just a used Cobra overall condition good, with a few nicks and scrathes, rust spots, etc., but doesn't seem to have been shot much. No indication of any form of refinish or anything mischievous. I might have been the first person to disassemble this Colt.

The Latch is completely blued, not polished like on just about all of the other Colt's

The face of it should be left in the white...but I remember the subject was discussed some time ago and there were maybe a couple pics of them with fully blued latches...so as so often said here..."Never say never with Colt".

Maybe my memories defective here (not the first or last time)...but that does ring a bell on the subject.
