I finally found a Blued XSE and put some money down on it. I like the fit and finish of the gun, but I was disappointed that it has a plastic msh. I'll be getting a S&A MSH, Wilson extended thumb safety to replace the ambidextrous thumb safety, and finally I'll have a set of Novak or Novak type sights on it. Overall the gun really fits my hand nicely.

I have a SS XSE but have yet to see a blue XSE; can you describe the bluing? Is it polished or matte?

It's a polished blue but more of black than blue color to it
