I recently bought a model 1903 Pocket .32 auto from my father. It is nickel plated and has mother-of-pearl grips. Finish is about 85-90%. It does NOT have the barrel bushing. I wanted to get spare magazines for it, but could not find originals, so I had to settle for two Triple -K brand mags which work great, but oddly one holds 8 rounds, while the other only holds 7. What is the pistol's value? I've gotten figures from $400 all the way to $1000. Serial number on the gun is 404xxx. Can anyone tell me when it was made?

Nice to have you aboard OfficalPoliceRev, your .32 was made in 1922. As for value I would be towards the bottom of your estimate. Are the grips original Colt? if so that would bring up the value...

yes, the grips are original Colt, but they do not have medallions. Thanks for the quick information!

It took me a while, but I found an original mag for my M1908 .380 Pocket Hammerless by contacting every used magazine lister in Shotgun News and Gun List. (A tedious procedure as many are not on-line.) The original mags ain't cheap, but I wanted one.
