This thread has gotten way more attention than I anticipated. Here is a closeup of one of the Dual Master Brens that are in the display cases to the top. They came from the factory with a 10mm and a 45 ACP upper fitted to the same frame. They had a higher gloss bluing than the standard models and the frame flats were also more polished.

Totally loving looking at the original 10mm! Fantastic collection. I've had ONE of these on my grail list for some time but always let them slip away when I found one.

I never understood all the variants. My best friend had one but had to wait till his magazine caught up to the pistol in the mid 1980's.

Thanks for sharing these with us Beemer1!

Way more interest here than I expected so I will give some more info on various models. Here is a Standard Model. This shows how they came new. Plain white cardboard box, often referred to as a pizza box. The serial number was written on the box in various places with a ball point pen. The pistol was put in the padded brown paper sleeve and included a very good owner's manual. The serial number included the year made, model designation (here standard model), and the serial number. This particular pistol and another that is consecutive numbered to this have Simpson Ltd. import marks in the mag well. Supposedly they went to Australia and did not sell and came back.

Here is a Marksman Special Match. These were special order from the Marksman Gunshop in the Chicago area. All were chamber for 45 ACP. Notice that there is no Bren marking on these pistols. The total number was 250 pcs. The serial number prefex is MSM on these and no date. The also sold about 100 of the Marksman marked soft cases, nothing special but collectible.

Here is the Special Forces Light. They were a shorter barreled model at 4" instead of the standard 5". The came in a light version shown here with a chromed slide and an all black version. I think that the chromed slide is very attractive.

That is a Dual Master and not a JCC. I have never seen a JCC. Here is a pic.

It is #60 that is Col. Coopers

Yep thanks again for details, fascinating stuff. I never even saw one for sale here in Switzerland. Maybe they didn’t make it across, although we find some pretty exotic stuff here.

Also makes you wonder what could have been

I think Beemer1 is to Bren 10s what Cam (TheColtGuy) is to New Services and Shooting Masters.
