I am a new member and this would be my first post. I found a bright nickel Python that has been re finished and from the looks of the photo's it appears to have been done in a quality manner. The owner did the refinishing himself and I have seen several others that he has completed and sold. He has experience at this and a history. My question is does this detract from the value of the revolver from a collectors standpoint & would it make a difference if it had been done by Colt at the factory ? Is a Python that looks brand new with stock wood grips worth say two grand even though it has a new BNF ?
