Is anyone aware of what percentage of Pythons were made in bright stainless?

No. But the percentage of pythons claiming to be BSTS seems to be increasing daily. Seems an archive letter will be needed for BSTS before long.

I noticed that most guns made after 83 are showing model numbers after you type in the serial number on colts website.. It really helps when trying to determine a real BSTS..

Just checked the site for a BSTS Python I have. Came back with 1995 and model number of I3061 which is a 6" BSTS. And tried my Anaconda (which is not BSTS but is a 5") and it came back as 1996 and a model number of MM3050 which verifies a 5". Hope Colt keeps this up. It could be a huge help to collectors and a detriment to those that tend to stretch the truth a little bit.
