The only two Colt revolvers in my small collection. The top is a 1960's Cobra, well used and dropped (old police off-duty)from a co-worker. The lower is a 1972 Detective Special that is NIB. The backstrap is engraved with the name of the Police Department that once owned it. A study in contrasts.

It was a Baltimore PD revolver. They were issued at one time to detectives, then replaced with S&W 64's in 2" barrel length. Came from the factory (AFAIK) with the backstrap done. I'll post a pic later tonight.

They both look fine! Something about that old Cobra looks like it would like to slip into the back pocket of a pair of jeans and go on an adventure.

I like guns that have that "experienced" look.
