Is anyone familiar with C.D.Terry the premier Open Top collector? I see some of his guns are to be auctioned off. Did he die or just calling it quits?

CD died a few years ago. A real southern Louisiana gentlemen who loved his Open Top 44's and also had some dandy single actions!

I read his obit and never realized until now he was born about 12 miles from where I live!

I had an enjoyable telephone chat with him about ten years ago. Very intelligent man. He told me then that he had a book in the works on the '72 Open Top. I would love to see his research notes.

..a few years ago? How did I miss that? Had him evaluate my Open Top serial #202 at the Reston, VA Colt show maybe 15 yrs ago. Talked about his "to be published" book back then. Great guy with some great guns.

I see Dr. Joe Murphy has also died.
