I'm a happy guy with my 1st Colt. It's a MKIV Series 80, .380 Government model with Satin Finish. It's a beauty in near perfect condition. It was given to me by a neighbor, a widow of a California Highway Patrolman. I have some questions:

1. Is it Nickel, or Stainless, please?
2. Can someone please give me a value for this gun?
3 Serial #RC46427. Can anyone tell me when this gun was made?

Dick, Welcome to the Colt Forum! The gun you pictured is a nickel plated
gun. Since you have the original box for it, you should be able to value it at the top of the
range you see similar Gov. 380's selling for on Gun Broker and other auction/sale sites.
I would guess in the $800 to $1000 range, but other members who have made recent sales or
purchases of such a gun will have better advice.
