Attached are a few pictures of a 1957 early 2nd gen SAA that is in the mail. :)

With all the engraved collectors on this forum, does anyone have a clue who did the engraving? All I can find at the moment is a "B" and what looks like a leaf or the state of Texas under the cylinder pin. TIA

Hi Elliot;

Sorry I don't know who engraved your beautiful gun but the the good folks at the Firearms Engravers Guild of America might be able to tell you more.

Rosa Bee, the sister of Angelo Bee, signs her work "R. BEE." She was trained in Europe at FN/Browning like her brother. Both live and engrave out of Chatsworth, CA. I have seen a lot of items engraved by her and the engraving on this pistol does not resemble her style.

Her brother, Angelo, signs his name "A with a flying bee beside it." His signature is quite famous since he has probably engraved more firearms than anybody who is alive. I have two shotguns that he engraved.

In case this helps, I just received this message from the Engravers Guild of America. "I am not
sure but I am pretty sure the B and leaf are Colt factory markings. I would
suggest posting on our forum or iGraver.com and perhaps someone else may
recognize the engraver. Rex, Firearms Engravers Guild of America"

This is fun. IGraver.com is next.
