Shown is a Colt New Service that was shipped to England. It is chambered in .455 Eley and one of the many that were supplied to the British army during WWI. The back strap is inscribed with the Captains name and regiment info. The case is by Cogswell & Harrison, Ltd.

Here is another cased WWI Colt New Service revolver. This one was the personal property of 2nd Lt. R.K. Armstrong and so inscribed on the back strap. His regiment was shipped to France early in the war where he was wounded shortly after arriving. He returned to England where he remained for the remainder of the war. The gun and case remain in excellent condition. The case is marked Colts Pt. Firearms Mfg. Co.

I jumped on this thing, thinkin' I would like to shoot it.......It is clearly too nice for me to take it out of contention as an unfired, unturned, nice shiny new revolver. I wanted a shooter. This ain't it.

I have the factory plastic grips but I like it with the wood on it.
I suppose someone will want it someday.
I may post it in WTS again and see if there is any interest.

Here is an engraved Police Positive with pearl stocks and cased. The Colt factory letter shows that it was delivered to the Sherman Hotel in Chicago on April 16, 1926. Maybe some Mob ties?

This is my USMC Colt,” Limited Edition “ from about 1980. I still can’t determine if it’s one of 1000 or 1 of 500. I did see a factory letter on one years ago but it did not specify “ numbers’. Anyway it’s a 70 Series in 45 ACP. I put the FB parts on it,as you know FB does NOT have good wear qualities but on guns not handled too much they are ok. Pete
