Charlton Heston In The Paramount Studio Armory. Tons O' Guns!

Here's Charlton Heston promoting one of the best cowboy movies of all time, Will Penny. Rod Redwing there is the guy who coached Shane and did the actual gun spin at the end for Alan Ladd. He was great friends with Jim Martin on this forum. Dig all the guns in this place. We've seen these guns in many films over and over again. especially that wall of Winchester 92's.

That was certainly interesting as well as entertaining.
I don't recall "Will Penny" too much but I'm sure I've seen it. But now I'll keep an eye out for it on the boob tube.
Thanks Matt. Will Penny has been one of my favorites.
A great old western . Loved the actors they chose .
I watch Will Penny on DVD quite often. It's a good movie! Like the gun room!
Very good western that I always enjoyed. Heston is one of my favorites too. This was a great clip and thanks. Steve
That sure deserves a "like". Thanks for sharing. I would like to take a tour of that place. Not only neat firearms, but the history behind their use would be something to hear.
Very nice post, liked the movie, always liked Heston. Thanks.
That was a good film. Thanks for sharing.
I've been there,I don't remember the exact year but it was in the 1st part of the year that the Dodgers moved to L.A.--Either Life mag. or Look mag. was going to write an article titled"the Dodgers Go West" Rodd called me to help him w/the event,we loaded a bunch of guns & holsters & took them to the L.A. colliseum where the photo shoot was going to be done ,this was before Dodger Stadium was built, all of the team was there in their baseball uniforms & we put the holsters & guns on the players & then they were photographed wearing the guns[can u imagine doing something like this today?]I got to meet the entire team although today I don't remember all of their names.

Love "Will Penny."

A favorite scene for me is at the suttler's when the whiskey is white lightning in Mason jars.

I think Charlton Heston had said they drank real gin in that scene to make the right faces when it went down. At the end Will Penny joins Lee Majors on the hill shooting and used his Colt Sheriff's model. That movie gun website says it was a Lightning but I swear it looked bigger in the film and I thought I saw a square butt.
Thanks for sharing this footage Mr. Burp..............I have forgotten all about "Will Penny" and a lot of other old films. Thanks for getting the OLD memory started up acain..
