Friends, this is a well used old Colt Government...
It went to to Hong Kong, China, in March 1937 in a batch of 24. Hong Kong was British in those days and there was a war going on in China.
The pistol is marked 1721 on the side and on the front of the grip.. and it is marked with two chinese "letters". I was told by the daughter of a friend that this could mean something like "public property and coast guard".

Anyone around who knows more of those 24 guns.....

Friends, 24 Colt Government sent to Hong Kong in 1937.... they were not intended for some bedside drawer..... there must be a story.... please think about it!!!!
