I have a Cobra, long frame model, made in 1951. I am looking for a set of original brown plastic grips that came with the gun. So far no luck, any recommendations besides e-bay?
Also there is a small A under the barrel where it screws into the frame, could this be an assemblers mark?
I am looking to purchase a Colt but can not afford a Python right now. What is your opinion of a Trooper as shooter?
Sorry for all the questions but I know little about Colts, more a S&W man.

You can call Numrich to see if they may have a set laying around.
As to the Trooper are you talking about an original Trooper, or the MkIII, or the MkV? They all are good shooters, but only the original had the old style action.

Tracker, if you are a Smith Man, then you probably should get rid of that early Cobra to a Colt Man! Keep me in mind for it if you decide to go back "home."
