My pair of Colt derringers were purchased around 1959-60 and have blue barrels, gold frames and wood grips. They come in a red leatherette case with Colt logo on front. The ATF lists the "Lord and Lady Derringer pair" as C & R items. Are my derringers C & R also ?

unless they are ON the c&r list OR are 50 yrs old they wont qualify. logic and gun control do not mix. also some state laws overide the c&r ffl. ny and nj are 2 that come to mind. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Those are reproductions of derringers made back in the late 1870's. They are usually consecutive serial numbers and the ones I have seen around here seem to have a hard time fetching $425-450 and usually sit for a year or two til the right buyer comes along.
