Good evening. Just to make sure I understand this list above may I ask what is meant by (out of sequence continues). I am not sure I fully understand. If this has already been addressed I sure could not find a follow up in our threads after searching. And if it has my apologies.... I appreciate your time here. By the way great job on this list dogface6.

I will add my NIB Colt .45 with a 4 3/4 barrel in Blue and CCH I bought on 12/10/19. Serial # S87482A. That is all Folks I'm going to hazard a guess and say this is a current production striaght off the Colt factory line.

S86726A here so my guess also 2019 since its not showing up on Colt's site ?
You dont have to guess.... theres a QR code on the trigger guard sticker you can scan to find out when it was inspected. Provided your gun had one on it, and you bought it brand new.

Here is my list to add to the original Dogface. Mine starts at 1994, only covering S00000A numbers upwards. List has grown substantially in just two weeks. Take note of the”removable bushing” change that was supposed to be at S34000A. Pete

Our Forum member, What would you say, posted the following information on latest Colt SAA SN's a short while ago. Here is the important part of that post:

S75537A is the serial for the P1850
Colt said their date on it was April 29th 2017.

This shows about 10,000 SAA's have been sold since 2011. That is on average about 1667 SAA's per year.
Do the math to get good estimates beyond 2011.
Wow, thank you guys. I bought the SAA in 7 June 2017.

Hello again folks.
I joined this forum when I first started collecting and shooting Colt 1903's in 2014 and had alot to learn about that model.
Now I've got a question about the Colt SAA 45LC I bought Saturday.
I went to Colts serial number look up site (done this hundreds of times for gun research) and put in the serial number.
Got results from a 1847 Baby Dragoon to 1956 Python using # 098X, but no SSA.
So I add CJWC 098X nothing.
Were all 3rd gen John Wayne Commemorative's made in 1982?

I don't know exactly when the John Wayne Commemoratives were made but it wasn't until after he passed in 1979...so all John Wayne Commemorative would have to be 3rd generation.
