Looking at this Colt 9mm and would love expert advice on value. Sorry but this is the best pics I have. Owner rates it at 80%.

Kid, I don't think I'd give $800 for it. I can't make out the serial # to date the gun but it looks like 1960's maybe. Although 9 mm. is not my favorite caliber I wouldn't pass it up because of that.The Commander is one of my favorites, especially early ones that are real Commanders[aluminium frame] but once the anodized finish is worn as badly as that one it is going to be a "knock around" shooter or, you can polish the frame [which makes a good looking piece], or you can try to find an industrial anodize plater. Either way,it's never going to be a collectible original again. As a shooter,I would try to stay between $500 and $600 but I'm always looking for bargains!Check the serial # and let us see what year it is from. Good luck, Nick

9mm commanders always bring a premium on the market over the 45's in my area. If you really like the gun I think 800 is a fair price for it.

I agree with Smokey on this one. $650 would probably be my top end for a shooter. I do like Commanders. Working on getting a real Commander (aluminum frame) from the early 60's in .38 Super right now from a friend. I have a 1971 satin nickel Combat Commander in 9mm and it is one of my favorites.

BTW, that looks like a 70's model, at least to me. I may be wrong about price, these guys know a lot more than I do. I can only tell you what I see in my area. ymmv,
