You should letter it. Would be interesting to see the history.

Scott - no Armas de Colombia collection should be without the Madsen Model 1948 .30 US bolt action rifle. It was probably the last bolt action MBR ever purchased by a country. They never entered active service; almost all of them that made it to the surplus market look like mine. Not sure of the # made but a small batch had an enameled disc inlet into the stock:

Oh wow! I like that! Expensive I'm assuming?

Edit: Found one for sale. Looks almost new, like yours.

I think I paid $900 for it; could have bought the next in line S/N to go with it but didn't pull the trigger.

The rubber buttplate helps control the .30-06/.30 US recoil!

Scott - I saw one of the darker wood M1947 with the enameled disc on GB for $1250. They've obviously gone up in price!
Yup, that's the one I found too. Interested to see if he gets that for it. It's a buy now and not an auction. He might be fishing. Lol
