Colt Army Special Photo Thread

I couldn't find a photo thread dedicated specifically to the Army Special. I know how popular they are and how much we love them in all calibers and barrel lengths. So, post 'em if ya got 'em!

This one is a nicely patina'ed 1923 in .38 Special caliber.

not totally original as the barrel was changed...but still rather rare (I have another thread on it..)

Beautiful! Also at $18.69 each, I'll take one in each barrel length and caliber! Lol
Four years on the shelf at Colt.... and a loooong time after the official Police was introduced.

what surpises me: The early Army Special has the rounded cylinder catch - the New service got this style so much later (I just changed it on my NS)
Other than a few of the engraved or inscribed Colts this is the only Colt that I recall where the Rampant Colt logo was replaced with another marking from the factory:
