Colt Cobra 2\" ??

I have a Colt Cobra two inch snubbie, .38 SPCL. Brown plastic grips with the rampant colt near the top. Serial number is 177XX. It is overall in like new condition other than some surface rust on the sides of the hammer, otherwise very nice 98% or so.
How old and whats it worth, just looking for a ballpark figure.

Thanks in advance

Does the cobra have a shrowded shell extractor? If the extractor is shrowded it is a second generation, if it isn't it's a first.
Do you have the box, manual, and papers?
A gun like that is regularly advertised for 300-400 depending on your area and if you have the box and papers.

It is a first variation, no shrouded ejector rod. No box or papers. I would be interested in trading towards a 6" blued Python . I want a shooter not a collector piece. So if the finish is a bit worn thats fine, I'm looking for function and accuracy.
