How is the 'COBRA' different than a Police Positive Special? Other than in name?

A Cobra has an alloy frame, PPS is steel.

My 2 Cobras

 

I own two of them and find them to carry much better than my Detective Specials.

First is a 1977 blue with factory hammer shroud.

Second, and my current carry gun is a 1964 in Nickel. I am in love with Nickel.

 

This one won't win any beauty contests but its a great shooter and great glovebox gun.

I think I'm catchin' the Cobra bug after seeing all the great pictures.

 

Mine gets carried often. Loaded with Buffalo Bore Non +P LSWC HP and two speed loaders. Great carry package!

Here are two (2) Cobras that I inherited from my grandfather.

The first is 1960 with a hammer shroud that is excellent condition.

The second is a 1956 with the original box and papers. It is in mint condition and appears to have never been fired.

Looking at all these Cobras makes me one want to shoot mine, but boy do I love my DS.

 

Here are mine. A .38 (L) and a .32 NP (R). Both from 1968 and both new in their original boxes.
