did it come fro the factory with those grips? what the first letter of SN of a 1962 cobra mine is B i thik it around 69-71...but not really sure as Colt SN look up has some variables...thanks.

Nothing special in this old 1967 Cobra, except my dad bought it new and if I remember right, he paid about $60.00 for it new. He passed last November, and the only thing I wanted was this Cobra. Well last night I finally got it and her it is.

Yes, sorry about your dad Wolf....my dad passed last year also and I inherited his 69 DS. It’s the well worn one (and will remain that way). I remember seeing his receipt and he paid $62 for it. I have the original grips in new condition because as soon as he got it, he added PACs. But after 50 years of carrying, they got pretty worn down, so I dressed it up with the medallion Pacs. A few years before he died my brother bought the 71 Cobra off a friend for $200 and gifted it to me. I added a BK adapter and along with my dad’s DS, is my constant companion...though not both at the same time.😉
