I have a Colt Cobra .38 Special that I'm looking to sell. Its in very good condition with just a couple minor nicks in the lower corners. What is a fair price for this guy. I believe it was built in the 70's. Trigger is very smooth and its a nice looking piece.

Hello and welcome to the Colt Forum from West Virginia. Glad you have joined us all here. Nice looking Colt, however, not in my wheelhouse. I’m sure someone here will be along shortly to answer your question. The Colt Firearms knowledge here is exquisite. 😉

A few months ago I bought a very nice (98% condition) Cobra 1968 vintage
and paid $1,100. That's a top price but this is a "like new" revolver. Yours
shows normal wear. With better pics we could narrow the estimate down.
The box is not period original so no help with the value there. The
$700 estimate given is likely in the ballpark.

My dad had a cobra 1 and I got my cobra 2 with the ejector rod shroud in 1974 or 75. His was probably from the 50's early 60's. I still have the box and sales receipt and although I carries this gun it is 95% plus. Agree with above posters. Older wheel guns are way up in price from a few years ago when you could not give them away. My local Cabellas Gun Library had a scarce few on Monday and of course they priced them high. Good luck
