I have a Colt Commando revolver here. The Commando, Official Police, and Army Special are all variants of the same revolver. The Army Special was produced until 1927 when Colt gave up on getting a military contract and so they renamed it the Official Police. The Official Police was one of the most popular police revolvers during the 20th century and was in production until 1969. The Commando was a parkerized version produced during WWII, it was used by military police and by security guards protecting munitions factories during the war.
You may notice that I had a misfire. A tactical advantage of a revolver is demonstrated as I only have to cycle the action to another chamber and fire off a round. No wasting time on "tap and rack" drills to clear the action.
