Here's an old 2005 picture of my bolt carriers, left is a Colt M-16 auto (like yours), middle and right are Lewis Machine & Tool (LMT), all made in 2005.

The process of that is called staking the gas key per mil-spec.

Colt is considered the best in that process, some other lower quality companies only bends the metal lightly towards the gas key screws.

Some makers don't even do any staking and it is just a matter of time the gas key will get loose, then you have a single shot rifle.

Those staked gas key screws are GTG ( Good To Go )... Enjoy your CR6920 !!
