Any info or opinions on the Colt Defenders? I'm looking at finding one of these for a concealed carry.

Thanks

Great gun for concealed carry, similar in size and weight of the Kimber Ultra CDPII. I just sold one of these (NIB) last week. Something to be aware of...Colt has issued a factory recall on the safety for this model sold after March 2007 in the following serial number range: DR33036 - DR35948 X. Colt will send you a new recoil spring assembly kit that includes the Guide Pad to replace in your pistol.

I had to polish the feed ramp on my Colt Defender to make it reliably feed hollow point ammo. Great gun. 22.5 oz. unloaded, holds 7+1 rounds of .45 ACP, accepts Crimson Trace lasergrips. I use the Wilson Combat magazines. Accurate, reliable, small and light enough to be easy to carry, yet enough mass to it that shooting .454 ACP is no problem.
