I presume the answer to this question is "no", but I'll ask anyway...

Is there any online source for Colt DOBs that the consumer can reference or at least some sort of algorithm that we can use to translate S/Ns into DOBs?

It would be nice if Colt utilized some sort of date codes like many of the European gun manufacturers have, i.e., AA=2000, AB=2001, AC=2002, etc.

1978! One would think, SOMEONE would have information more recent. A 28 year drought seems a bit extreme to me. Sorry for the rant. But this just annoys the hell out of me. I'll shut up now.

Colt An American Legend (book) and I believe the small R.L. Wilson serial number books (green?) you see for sale some on EBay or auctions have dates to 1986. Beyond that there are none publicly published. You can call or email Colt customer service for DOM information only on later serials. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
