How about a thread on the fantastic Diamondback? May I start it off with a 4" nickel .38? Would LOVE to see your DB's in blue, .22, .38's and all the barrel length configurations.

Note: As chronicled elsewhere in a different Diamondback thread, good friend and Colt Forum member, Dick Stover (Diamonback68 - no 'd') guided me to learn that Colt issued its first nickel Diamondback in 1971 as a special order only. This is one of them. The earlier model years came with nickel sights.

My first Colt and my only Diamondback. It is well worn but still shoots good. The orginal grips were in sad shape and I found these on the forum. Did a little hand fitting and made a much nicer looking gun. DOB is 1969

Just wanted to add my latest addition , 1967 second year of production, snubbie. Awesome little gun. Feels great in the hand.

Thanks
I have been trying to take some good pics for the last 1/2 hour. Just can't get good pics inside and it is too cold to take them outside!
At the time I bought that,it seem like a premium! As a young NCO, 314.00 and some change was a lot of money.

I just saw you (dgro85) are from Omaha. I was stationed at Offut AFB for 12 years.
