A local gunshow has one for sale.

Complete package and very likely unfired after my inspection.

I hear the 3" is not common.

What is a fair offer?

I think you would get a good deal at $1500 - also think it would be reasonable offer AND seller would make a few hundred .

I’d say within the last few years , they are closer to 2 grand .

But for me , the BIG appeal of the uncommon 3” .38’s has always been the barrel length .
With the new KC on scene in this length , I see prices softening for these older .38 models.
..... that’s just me though .

I share ColtsDads' love for the 3 inch barrel length, and agree with his assessment of value, though I don't think there will be much softening of prices.

Is there any factory data on how many 3" and 4" DS-II's were made. Were any of these made with the early SF-VI designation?
