just picking nits, but since this gun is being sold way above normal because of the finish, then the small flaw on the right side of the frame just below the firing pin retainer on the hammer seems like a deal killer to me.

pretty gun.
pretty damn expensive.

Maybe I should have MY DS refinished and then jack up the asking price as a "second one of a kind". Colt does do some pretty work.
Would like to see a receipt showing that it was a Colt refinish. The frame side in picture 6 shows how wavy/uneven the metal was polished and how poorly the hammer sides were polished with rounded edges. And pictures 7 & 8 show the polish/buff lines in the frame under the cylinder. All the royal blue re-finishes I've seen Colt execute have been much more expertly performed polish jobs.

I had my Version 2 Detective Special Royal Blued by the Custom Shop and looking @ the pics I am seriously wondering if that is a Colt Custom Shop Job.JMHO
