I am in Ct for some unfortunate family business but have carved out about 2 hours today and will be at the colt exhibit at the Hartford library. Have not been here for years. Anyone have any last minute requests or have a question you want answered while I am there?

Bob,Got pics of the gatlin gun. PM me your email and I will send you some pics. The informational placard was gone so there was no further info about it. I have some old pics from a previous trip. I will check to see if I have it with those. Eagle eye,No info on blued KCs and there is no escort or curator there to ask sorry. Out of all the double action revolvers, no DS representing! There were agents, cobras , and aircrewman and the like but no DS. UnrealOverall it was the same as last time. I was the only person there. No one seems to really enjoy the gun culture here anymore. It is all about gun control now. SadSo much history and everyone trying to rid the state of it.

The gun to which I refer is not the Gatling gun, it is an automatic canon of WW II vintage, I believe for aircraft use, made by Colt.

Good question about them being rendered incapable of firing. They looked as new to me. Many of them were serial numbered 1 for every new make and model Colt put out, others not. There is very tight armed security, the glass cases are alarmed etc.. I would assume they are as they left the factory, no altering.
