Just received my new 1911 Nation Match Gold Cup (O5870A1 ). The trigger is terrible for a match gun, I am guessing 6-8 lbs although I don't have a trigger gunge. Through out my Army career all my arms room 45s had better triggers although they were well broke in, maybe even close to worn out. My current Ruger SR1911 and my TISA commander carry have MUCH better triggers. Not sure if this is a send it to Colt for improvement under warranty situation or just find a good local gunsmith to clean up the trigger . Last Colt I owned was in early 70s and I seem to remember a reasonable trigger right out of the box.

I’ve got a 1978 MKIV Series 70 GCNM and a 1990 Series 80 GCNM. I really never thought the triggers were super great on either one when compared to high end custom built match gun. I got used to them but nothing really fantastic.
