Yours is a Colt model R6520 AR-15A2 Gov't Carbine they were produced from about 1988 to 1990.

My first carbine was a new R6420 AR-15-A2 Sporter II carbine that I bought in around 1986 and my first ever new Colt SP1 I bought way back in 1971.

Your carbine looks very nice and should be very desirable to Colt collectors.

Most like new condition of that late '80s time usually goes for $2,200 up to $3K+, you could get a higher price if you sold it to a ban state that allows pre ban made AR.

Right now the AR market is a little slow because tons of AR in the market, if you could wait a little maybe sell it when the sales gets better.
