Gentlemen; Today I saw a six inch blue Colt revolver marked either Trooper or Lawman but it had a Mark IV on it and was chambered for 22LR. Would this be rare in 22? It was like new and he wanted $350 which seemed low to me. All the other Lawmen or Troopers I've seen were 357. I would appreciate your input as he took it back to the shop with him.

That's a very good price. The MkV was the last of the Lawman/ Trooper series. After the MkV the line was given a new face lift and became the King Cobra.
The .22lr chmabering is not rare. They have been making them for many years all thru the entire series. The .22mag chambering is not seen as often though.

Maybe a mis-read of the model???

First, there IS no Trooper Mark IV, only the Trooper Mark III, and the Trooper Mark V.

Second, only the Trooper Mark III was offered in .22 caliber. The Mark V was only in .357.

Another point of interest is the Lawman (MKIII or MKV) did not come in a 6". Only a 2" or 4" as far as I know.
