I recently got a letter on a 1968 Colt National Match. Here's the Shipping To: Address: Colt's Firearms Division 150 Huyshope Avenue Hartford, Connecticut For: Colt Employee Sherwood Rogers

Is that name falmiluar to anybody? Any ideas?

Not a common first name. I did a search on Pipl.com. Shows only one Sherwood Rogers in Connecticut:
Sherwood J Rogers, Born 1912, Litchfield, Connecticut. U.S. Army veteran. Lists him as a machinist in civilian life. There is a death record on file, but you have to pay a web site to see it. There is other info on him, but again you have to be a member of the website, and pay to see it (Archives.com).
I found the obituary of Sherwood's wife Fanny Rogers, but it doesn't mention anything about Sherwood. They lived in Winsted and Bristol prior to her hospital stay.

Is the pistol in question a National Match a .45 or .38 Mid Range?
