Hello I would like to know it is possible to turn a MK IV Series 80 currently a .45 ACP into a .38 Super by just changing the barrel, slide(with springs) and the clips?
Thanks for any info that you can post.

Not an easy conversion. The frame feedramp is cut deeper into the magazine well on 45 ACP than on 9mm/38 Super/10mm frames, so reliability may suffer. You will need an entire top end, 38 Super/9mm ejector, 38 Super/9mm Slide stop, magazines. By the time you put all of this together, and if you can get it to work properly, you could have spent just a little more and bought a whole 38 Super 1911.

Sorry Don45. I had the same thoughts once upon a time and they rained on my parade, too! But all those guns'll look so GREAT on your wall ... the .45, the .38, the .22, the 9mm ... Naw. You didn't want just ONE, now, did you?! Ha, ha!
