I collect 1911 and 1911A1's mainly WWII firearms. My local gun shop just took in a Model 1860 revolver. I know very little about these. It is in the original holster, and has not been stored properly. When they took it in it was still loaded, they pulled off the cylinder and were able to get all the minie balls but one out without having to use a worm. The serial number is 62,***. Not sure about the last three digits. Any how the grips are in great shape with both catrouches in fine shape. All the numbers match with the exception of the wedge. The Texas Navy scene is in good shape, the rifling in the bore is very strong. However due to storage the gun has a brown patina, no pitting just very little of the original finishes remaining. I can't judge what percent the gun is in may be 30%??? They are asking $2800.00? Is this a good price? Thanks, Scotty
