Hello all! I'm new to the forum and Colt revolvers. I would like some guidance on a model 357 i am looking to trade. Owner wants $540 trade value. It is is excellent condition, looks almost not fired. Small bluing loss spot on muzzle. Over all in very good condition. It is a 4" model, adjustable sights, and has Service type silver medallion grips. Serial no 16xxx. No pics. I have some modern tupperware I offered for trade.
Thanks!

I'd sure trade tupperware for a 4-inch Colt 3 5 7 if it is as nice as you say it is. I'd even go find some tupperware to trade for it. Sounds like a deal.

bmc,
I did handle it. It is in very good shape.
I may have to trade. I do have many other Glocks, but no Colts.
Thanks for reply.

Make the trade or you will be haunted forevermore. That's not a Colt .357, that's a pre-python.....just look at the GunBroker ads. ;)

Seriously, that is a heck of a deal. DO IT NOW!!!
If you don't like it too much in a week or so, you can always sell it to us... Just sayin'
That is about bottom dollar for any Colt double action .357 chambered revolver. Since you stated it has the service stocks, does it also have the standard hammer? It might have the fatter target hammer and that would be a bonus.
AH heck...just PM me the guy's contact info and keep your plastic stuff. I'd feel just terrible if you had withdrawal symptoms ;)
They made less than 15,000 357 revolvers. How many Glocks are out there? I would think you could always find a replacement to your Glock. I have several 357s and they all shot very well. The 4" model has excellent balance and should be an excellent shooter, or display revolver. My 4" 357 would be about the last gun to leave my collection. $540 is not a bad price.
If it is truly in the condidtion you say it is. 540 is highway robbery!
hurry, before he changes his mind. Like many members stated, $540 is a steal for the condition you described.
Do it. I have a 4" from 1959 and it isn't going anywhere. You just don't come across these that often. Hurry before he changes his mind!
I have a Colt .357 and it is a wonderful revolver. You should jump on it.

Absolutely! Snatch it up while you can.
