The Bob Murphy book has been out of print for many years and is hard to come by and when you find a copy it will probably sell for $50-$100. The man who wrote the book, Gil Newton, passed away earlier this year. He used a pen name when he wrote the book. It's the best information out there on the New Service but Tim Mullens book has a lot of good information and excellent pictures of some rare New Services. His book is readily available: https://www.amazon.com/Colts-New-Se...rds=Colt's+New+Service+Revolver+by+Tim+Mullen

+1 -- I like the Murphy book better for information but the Mullins book has great color pictures. Anyone interested it the great Colt New Service should have both.

Cam,

I remember last year we were talking about Gil and his book, and you said something about a reprint possibly in the works. Have you heard anything more about that?

Buck

I do not see that happening as Gil passed away several months ago.

Cam.
