I have had this gun for some time and have never been a fan of 1911s in any size but this one I kept for various reasons including forgetting I had it. I was wondering if anyone had more information on them. From what I can tell they were small runs of matte 1911s with a commanders frame on an officers slide for Lew Horton. There were around 300 made of Each run. There were 3 runs Night Officer,Night Officer II, Night Officer III. I was wondering is this something I should hold onto or shoot more? I mainly carry or shoot glocks/smith compact wheel guns/smith model 59 or 39. I dont know much else about this gun and its value. I believe I got it for around 900-1000. Thank you in advance for your time

Welcome to the Forum,
Please post some pic's if you can. There seems to be quite a bit of info on them on several forums. Google is your friend. I've personally never seen one.

Only thing I changed was the night sights were dead on this 15 year old gun. So I have some 1 year old trijicons on it.
I have the exact same gun only 11 numbers off. (ON0308). These were made in 1993 and my gun is still in mint shape. It shoots like a dream. It's only got about 100 rounds through it to date. There is no gun that feels better in my hands. Unfortunately, it weighs a ton and I'm getting old! LOL

Thanks . I got it in a trade and much like you found there's not a lot of information on them.
It seems the FBI ordered 650 or so of them then refused the order . A dealer in Texas them bought all of them.
If I find one in blue like your I would not hesitate to buy it.
