I need the production date for a Colt Pocket Positive, serial #83210.

Is the 32 Police Cartridge the same as a 32 S&W?

Thanks for any help on these matters.

My book shows 1917 and yes the .32 N.P. and the .32 S&W long are interchangeable

These are fine little guns, probably the first "modern Pocket Revolver",along with its predecessor, the New Pocket Model. Certainly a lot better than the top breaks so popular about the turn of the century.

Hopefully, you won't need any parts for it,as the frame and cylinder are slightly "different" from the Police Positive frame;it is a tad smaller,so is cylinder diameter, and most obviously the grip straps. I "think"internal parts are same as the P.P. model.

Every thing looked good when I tore it down for a full clean up...someone had let the little gun rust inside, but it did not pit too badly. A friend of mine recieved the weapon in a trade for a S&W semiauto plus much cash, so I dont think he is too unhappy with the Pocket Positive.
