Found this photo of the Colt "Potato Digger" machine gun manned by John Browning-

"Filed for patent in 1892, the M1895's operating mechanism was one of Browning's and Matthew S. Browning's early patents for automatic rifles;[SUP][5][/SUP][SUP][6][/SUP]they had previously been working on lever action rifles for Winchester such as the Winchester 1886."

Thought some might like to see it.

"The M1895 was the first machine gun adopted by the United States military, and it saw service with the Army (who never formally adopted it), and the US Navy/US Marines, and was adapted to use in many roles. It was mounted on tripods, horse-drawn carriages, boats, aircraft, and even armored cars. The US Navy was the first to begin testing, as early as 1893, with a version chambered in the Navy's 6mm cartridge"

Colt MG on Indian MC.jpg
I believe a member here posted this before but I had to go ahead and add it. I really like machine guns
and Indian motorcycles. When they're together...even better.

I'm sure it's just the photos perspective in the previous post, but I sure wouldn't want to be piloting an airplane
with my noggin' under the front end of this particular MG.
