Thanks for the responses. I have shooting bows and buying guns from the seller for many years, gotten generally good deals. This gun is from collection of a retired doctor in bad health. Have not seen it yet but my guess is 80-85% condition. He thinks similar guns are $6-800 in blue book and so he is giving me a good deal. So what exactly should I look for "Blackstrap checkering" to see if it is good go shoot? Anything else I should check out. Will also check to see if barrel is rusted. BTW serial number is 6879
