Here is a pretty hard to find pistol in mint condition with all the goodies in the original box.
Took me quite a long time to find one this nice.
Shipped to J.L. Galef, NYC,1 gun shipment, furnished with adjustable sights, Dec 23 1938

mpd1978,

Very Nice! Congratulations!!

Interesting Box Contents.

Best Regards,
Wow that one is really, really beautiful. Awesome find!
<------- removing hat for a moment of silent appreciation.

That American Beauty is as clean and complete as I've ever seen. It's a tad early for a Swartz safety but I'm curious if the letter lists the Steven's sight as a special feature.

All I could see was the box at first. Now all of the pics are showing. Thanks! Looks great!

That's cool. The Steven's adjustable rear sight became available in 1935 but it's listed as a special feature on your 1937 NM. Like the NSD (Swartz), the Stevens sight sometimes letters as a special feature and sometimes it doesn't.

Wow, that is gorgeous. It's OK with us if you want to post more pics.
Beautiful, and in this day of everything being naked, it is fully dressed. Worth every thousand you paid for it.

mpd1978,

It's good to See that assembly date! (Thanks for showing us,---how's the barrel marked?)

Best Regards,

P.S. And, if you please;), show us the left side and the details of the Type I, Variation #2 STEVENS?
Actually don’t have any pics of the left side. I must have deleted them or simply forgot to take any.
Barrel is marked “Colt 45 Auto Match” in one line as well as a circled MB.
