Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and would like manufacture date & info on a Python with serial#T952.
I inherited this piece recently and I'm debating whether to sell it or keep it.
I already have a Ruger GP100 6" .357.
It's in excellent condition.
It seems they are selling for ~$800 on Gunbroker.
I've heard some years of production were lower in quality than others. Just want to know where this one stands.

I have limited references, but that serial number sounds like an unusual number. Did you omit the last few numbers? We generally use a "X' to denoted the last few numbers.
3 digits numbers stopped in the 50's and the alphabets appeared in the numbers in the late 60's.
For curiosity sake, is your Python a 8" .38sp Target model?
Hopefully some one else can help you.

It's a .357
Ser# T952**
It was manufactured Jan 1991.
I just called Colt and asked them.
Why didn't I just do this in the first place?

Now that I know the year it was produced, is it a keeper? What about it's approximate worth?

You're in the ballpark with your $800 guestimate, give or take, depending on condition and any goodies that go with it, such as box, papers, etc..
