I think I have said before that I am not too interested in the nickel Pythons except for the .38sp Target version. I have a "K" series in blue that I believe was manufactured in 1980. I have seen some "K" series in nickel which I think were also manufactured in 1980.

Here's the question: I have run across a .38SP Target in nickel that is serial number V931xx. I have never seen the .38SP Target Python with a "V" serial number and I am wondering if someone can confirm the date of manufacture. Is it 1978 as with the other "V" series Pythons?

The guy made a mistake. It was an "LA" serial number with the wrong box. I'm almost positive they never made a "V" .38SP Target.

Thanks dfariswheel

The "V" series ran from 1978, to early 1980.

V931XX was made in early 1980.
The "V" series ran that year from V88374 to V99999.

The "V" series ended fairly early that year, then there was a flurry of prefixs starting with:
AL
LA
VA
K
