As I recall, the Silver Snake was a limited version to introduce the Python in stainless steel.
It was issued in 1983 with 250 made.
It has a black chrome finish over stainless steel, Pachmayr rubber grips with the Custom Shop Logo medallions, had etched engraving, and came in a custom-made pouch.
My older copy of The Blue Book, shows the value in 100% at $1230.
The issue price was $1150, in 1983.
Personally, I'd think a Colt collector would go somewhat more than this, since ordinary Pythons sell for prices near these today.
