As for me, I usually use the 23rd or 24th Edition of the Blue Book of Gun Values by S.P.Fjestad and that is pretty much the bible in this area anyway. diamonback68

To date my Colt revolvers, I called Colt (toll-free) at 1-800-962-2658 and with the serial number they gave gave me the date---very helpful folks there at Colt!

For prices I use THE BLUE BOOK.

NAVIGATOR, Colt only gave you a year of manufacture, right? They did not give you the actual day date did they? If the former, which is what I understand, I will bet the person is reading off the same charts as in the Blue Book and the pocket book mentioned, which in turn came from the Wilson book, American Heritage, which in turn was a continuation of the Sutherland charts. I just photocopied the Wilson charts and use that for refference.
