Hi all,
I have 2 old colt boxes with the serial numbers inside and was wondering if anyone could tell me what the dates of manufacture are? One is a Colt Officers model target SN 621006. The other is a Colt Army Special SN 527541. Thanks.

The Army Special is 1926. The Officer's Model, if I'm reading the book correctly, is 1937.
But let's see whether someone else weighs in on this.

Looks like I didn't have enough digits this morning /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
Yes, from TBOCF, the OM shared numbers with the OP and 621xxx would be 1937. More coffee

Colt 45 SN 111043 Date of Manufacture

Location of identifying marks on Colt 45

1. 45 Cal is on the bottom of the trigger guard
2. On top of the barrel is: Colts PT F.A. MFG. CO.
Hartford CT. U.S.A.
3. On the left side of gun above the trigger guard:
Sept. 19, 1871
July 2, 1872
Jan. 19, 1875
4. The SN 111043 is located at 3 places:
bottom of the barrel, bottom of the trigger guard, and lastly the bottom of the hand grip.

5. This Colt appears to have Mother of Pearl grips.

Please does anyone have an idea of the model and date of manufacture ?
