Picked this one up at the Las Vegas show this past week. Shown next to an original order form from my period factory ledger showing Govt orders for the timeframe.
Kopec lettered Gold Seal Artillery:

No cartouche on the left side. According to the Kopec book, this is correct for the 1903 rebuilt guns. He also mentions that the date “1903“ was not applied over the RAC cartouche until later in 1903

I do not intend to post the Kopec letter simply because I have seen too many letters and guns picked apart publicly by pretend experts.

The cylinder in mine has NSN and is only marked
With the inspection stamp “K”
A period spare part from what i understand
